How to Connect ShipStation to Fulfyld

Connect ShipStation to Fulfyld Connecting ShipStation to Fulfyld is the process of linking your ShipStation account to Fulfyld's 3PL fulfillment system so that orders automatically route from ShipStation to Fulfyld's warehouse for picking, packing, and shipping.

Quick answer: Fulfyld integrates directly with ShipStation. You can link your account with the click of a button, or your dedicated account manager can handle the connection on your behalf.

Connecting ShipStation to Fulfyld: What to Do Step by Step

Here’s how to connect ShipStation to Fulfyld:

Step 1: Get a Quote and Create Your Fulfyld Account

Start at fulfyld.com/get-fulfyld and fill out the intake form with your store details, estimated monthly order volume, and product type.

Step 2: Connect with Your Dedicated Account Manager

Once you move forward, Fulfyld assigns you a dedicated account manager who handles onboarding and day-to-day operations.

Before technical setup begins, walk through your ShipStation configuration: which sales channels are connected to ShipStation, how orders are organized and tagged, what automation rules you have in place, and whether all orders in ShipStation should route to Fulfyld or only a subset.

Step 3: Connect ShipStation to Fulfyld

The ShipStation integration can be set up in one of two ways: you can link your account yourself through a simple authorization flow, or your account manager can handle the connection on your behalf.

The connection is made through ShipStation’s 3PL fulfillment provider integration, which designates Fulfyld as the fulfillment provider and routes orders accordingly.

Step 4: Send Your Inventory to Fulfyld’s Warehouse

Once the connection is set up, ship your product inventory to Fulfyld’s warehouse at 511 6th St, Madison, AL 35756. Submit a replenishment in Shipedge before your inventory ships, including SKUs, quantities, and expected delivery dates. Fulfyld covers the first 2 hours of receiving during onboarding at no cost.

Step 5: Map Your SKUs

Every product SKU that Fulfyld will be fulfilling needs to be mapped to the corresponding item in Shipedge.

SKU values in ShipStation need to match the SKU values in Fulfyld’s system; if your ShipStation product listings use different identifiers than your internal SKUs, flag the discrepancies with your account manager so the mapping is configured correctly before orders start flowing.

Step 6: Confirm Shipping Method Mapping

Shipping methods selected in ShipStation need to correspond to carrier services configured in Fulfyld’s system. Work through your active shipping methods with your account manager to confirm each one maps to the correct Fulfyld carrier service.

Step 7: Review Your ShipStation Automation Rules

ShipStation’s automation rules are one of its most powerful features, but they need to be reviewed before connecting to Fulfyld. Specifically:

  • Label creation rules: Any automation that creates a label before the order reaches Fulfyld should be disabled for Fulfyld-bound orders. Fulfyld generates the label as part of the fulfillment process.

  • Order routing rules: Rules that tag orders, assign them to a store, or filter by SKU or shipping method are fine and can stay active.

  • Fulfillment provider assignment: If you’re routing only some orders to Fulfyld (and fulfilling others yourself or through another provider), make sure your routing rules correctly separate the two streams before they transmit.

Step 8: Place a Test Order

Before going live, place a test order through one of your sales channels and let it flow through ShipStation to Fulfyld. Confirm the order appears in Shipedge correctly, the SKU maps as expected, and tracking pushes back to ShipStation and then to the originating sales channel.

Step 9: Go Live

Once the test order clears and your automation rules are confirmed, the integration is active.

What the Integration Handles Automatically

Once connected, the ShipStation–Fulfyld integration manages the following without any manual steps:

  • Order transmission from ShipStation to Fulfyld’s fulfillment system

  • Same-day picking, packing, and shipping for orders received before 1:00 PM Central Time

  • Tracking number generation and automatic push back to ShipStation

  • Inventory updates are sent back to ShipStation when returns are received and processed at the warehouse

  • 2-day shipping options for eligible customer addresses, configurable through your ShipStation shipping method setup

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need to connect my individual sales channels to Fulfyld if I’m using ShipStation?

No. If ShipStation is your order aggregation layer, your individual sales channels (Shopify, Amazon, eBay, etc.) connect to ShipStation as they do today, not directly to Fulfyld.

What happens to my ShipStation automation rules when I connect Fulfyld?

Most automation rules are unaffected. Rules that tag orders, apply shipping presets, or route based on SKU or weight work alongside the Fulfyld integration. The critical ones to review are any rules that automatically generate shipping labels; these should be disabled for Fulfyld-bound orders, because Fulfyld generates the label as part of the fulfillment process.

Can I use ShipStation alongside Fulfyld for some orders while fulfilling others myself?

Yes. ShipStation supports multiple fulfillment workflows, and you can configure it to route specific orders to Fulfyld while handling others in-house or through a different provider. This is typically done through ShipStation order routing rules or manual assignment.

How does tracking push back to my customers if orders flow through ShipStation?

When Fulfyld ships an order, the tracking number pushes back to ShipStation. ShipStation then distributes the tracking information to the originating sales channel.

Is there an additional cost to integrate ShipStation with Fulfyld?

No. Fulfyld integrates with ShipStation at no additional charge.
