Quick answer: In Fulfyld’s standard fulfillment model, using your own personal carrier account is not part of the standard setup, but certain retailer platforms that require shipping on the retailer’s carrier account can be accommodated.

How Fulfyld’s Standard Shipping Model Works
Fulfyld ships every order using its own carrier relationships. When a label is generated in Shipedge, it pulls from Fulfyld’s negotiated rates with USPS, UPS, and FedEx based on the shipping method mapped to your order.
The postage cost is bundled into your flat per-order fulfillment rate; there’s no separate carrier invoice, no carrier account to manage, and no rate negotiation on your end.
This model works for the large majority of brands. The per-order rate is all-in, predictable, and covers the shipping service mapped to each checkout option on your storefront.
Your account manager can map any shipping method name on your storefront to a corresponding Fulfyld carrier service, and if you want to switch services (say, from USPS Ground Advantage to FedEx Ground for a specific method), your account manager can update the mapping without requiring any changes on your website.
The Retailer Carrier Account Exception

Some retail platforms, Walmart Marketplace being the most common example, have their own carrier programs and may require orders to ship on the retailer’s carrier account rather than Fulfyld’s. This is a distinct scenario from using your own personal UPS or FedEx account, and it’s one Fulfyld can accommodate.
When this applies there are typically additional per-order integration fees associated with the retailer’s carrier program. Your account manager will confirm the applicable costs and configure the shipping setup during your channel integration.
What to Do If You Have a Specific Carrier Requirement
If you have a negotiated carrier contract you want to use, a specific carrier service not covered by Fulfyld’s standard mapping, or any other non-standard shipping requirement, contact your account manager directly.
Fulfyld’s shipping method mapping is flexible; the table of available carrier services can be extended with custom mappings, and your account manager can advise on what’s possible for your specific situation.
Don’t assume a carrier requirement can’t be accommodated without asking. The right starting point is a conversation with your account manager about what you need and why.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fulfyld pass through carrier rate savings to me, or is postage baked into my rate?
Postage is included in your flat per-order fulfillment rate. You don’t see a separate carrier charge on your invoice. Fulfyld’s negotiated rates with USPS, UPS, and FedEx are reflected in the per-order pricing on your rate card. There’s no separate postage passthrough billing.
Can I switch which carrier is used for a specific shipping method?
Yes. If you want to change which carrier handles a specific shipping method, your account manager can update the shipping method mapping in Shipedge.
What carriers does Fulfyld ship with?
Fulfyld ships with USPS, UPS, and FedEx across a range of service levels, from standard ground to 2-day and overnight options.
If I’m selling on Walmart Marketplace, do I need to do anything special for carrier setup?
Potentially, yes. Walmart has its own carrier program that may apply depending on your seller arrangement.
Will changing carriers affect my delivery speed or customer experience?
It depends on the specific services being swapped. USPS, UPS, and FedEx offer comparable service levels at most weight ranges and destinations, but transit times can vary by zone and service type.
If you’re considering a carrier switch for a specific shipping method, ask your account manager to compare transit time maps for the relevant carrier services against your customer geography before making the change.
